Our FPA hosted the annual year end function on the Base at the newly built accommodation facility. This occasion marked the end of a successful fire season and gave our members time to mingle on a more relaxed and social platform. The festivities commenced at 16h00 and lasted until late with the young and not so young enjoying a traditional braai as well as a bush pig on the spit (thanks to Francois du Toit).
Thanks to all that assisted with the planning and arrangements for the function!
The season’s fires were recalled and discussed again at length, stories of the brave and courageous ground and aerial fire suppression efforts made the rounds and cemented the camaraderie amongst our members.
The function was a great success and a big thank you goes out to all our members that attended – the largest crowd since 2014 for sure.
